One of the most anticipated publications of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will occur in 2026, with the release of the Church’s new hymnbook, “Hymns – For Home and Church.” This book has been in the process of preparation for 6 years and will supersede the Church’s current hymnal, which has been in use for nearly 40 years.
In an effort to help support this effort and provide resources for Church musicians and families, I set a goal in 2024 to write at least one arrangement of every hymn in the new book. This project will take approximately 10 years to complete, as I am currently composing an average of 1 arrangement a week and there are projected to be 500 hymns in the book. My current efforts are with batches of hymns released digitally prior to the major 2026 hard-copy publication. The list below only contains those hymns who are confirmed to be included in the 2026 book; for other hymn arrangements I have done, feel free to browse my collections of sacred compositions.
